Review of Until July

Until July by Aurora Rose Reynolds
My rating: 3.5 of 5 stars

If I would have read Until July first, before all Aurora’s preview wonderful alpha men and the women that they love series, I would have rated as 4.5 stars. But because I read about her parents and her uncles and the boom they experienced, I was not overall happy with this book. I just have mixed emotions.

I have some YEAHs in the book and a lot of WHAT’s.

Lets start with the YEAHs:
1. I loved that I read book of this series and knew July’s parents, Asher and November, they are still the same people we read about in book one. Their love is so intense and sweet. I loved it.
2. I loved July’s job it was perfect
3. I loved all the sisters and that we got a back story on them
4. Love that July is like her mother and can ride a bike, so awesome
5. The story was good, not what I thought it would be but it was good. (Just enough of the past (meaning the old characters make an appearance) to make the book get to that 3.5 star rating. It was the past that help save this book
6. The author did not go all Mayson family with Wes, our male lead. He was badass because he was a military man and he was a biker.
7. I love how July describes the man she has always wanted since she was child
8. I love how July and Wes kiss the first time.
9. The epilogue was…Wow. Powerful


Shaking my head and what I did not like so much:
1. The book had too much chaos. I know that Aurora is famous for this suspense and drama being placed different places in her books but this was just too much for me. I felt like it was all over the place.
2. I was trying to understand how old Jax was. It is confusing in the story, also, I do not know what he does for a living. I think he is a cop like his grandpa and maybe now Nico is a cop? I just don’t know. It was not clear.
3. In this book Aurora gives July a totally different name then from book 1. She went from July Heaven Mayson to July Abigail Mayson. What is the ham? You know when I heard this book was coming out I read the entire series again. So I was shocked to have discovered this. But this is not where the deducing ends.
4. The book seems to have some continuity issues with July’s name, her sister changing outfits in the middle of dining and the year the book takes place in relation to July’s age. In Until November, November talks about Google and how she searches for random information for Beast on there. It’s cute and one of the things I really like about her. But Google was founded in 1998, so even if November met Asher in 2000, it would have to be 2027 for this book to be accurate. I know it is fiction but if you have series connected to this, then you have to be clear or have a disclaimer, something. Also, the other kids seemed to be off in ages, I am referring to the cousins.
The additional Mayson’s (cousins and sisters) seem to have a convoluted storyline coming about and I am mehing the stories.

Will I buy it, yeah probably because I can give her a get out of jail card with this book, right? Yeah, I think I can.

Honestly, I just did not leave this book thinking I want to read this again because I love it, like I did the others. I left this book thinking, I need to read it again to see if I notice any new inconsistences.

I must admit there was some sweetness to this book and the ending was prime. I was speechless. She did her thang with the ending. Since I am the non-spoiler queen I will say this about the ending. It was pure, real, and just from the heart raw.

Review:

Bink is the story of a girl who grew up in a Motorcycle Club. This is unusual for a female to live in the club. Most women who are at the club are old lady’s, which is an honorary title or a Sweet Butts. Being a Sweet Butt, is an honorary title of being a available to all the men in the MC.  Bink, she is neither.

Within this book you learn a lot about Bink and the people who are a major part of her life. Bink has been around them since her youth. This is all she knows.

He father is the VP and her brother is one of the bothers in the club. The head of the club is President Big Dick. All bikers get a road name. The Prez has nothing to do with being a jerk, which he can be sometime but is everything to do with having a Big Dick. Gunz is a computer savvy biker who helped raise her.

All these men love Bink and would do anything to protect her. Bink is not spoiled and entitled, as she is the Princess/Queen of the lady in the club. She is a hard worker and believes in morals and family.  She wants to be separate from the club and the life she wants to lead. She loves the club and the people, but she needs some play action. Because she is the Princes/Queen she is off limits to fellow and visiting MC’s. She is not an old lady nor a club whores. Bink needs love too.

Bink is a badass chick. Trina may have lost the reign next to Bink.  She has a hot look, sweet bike and car and everyone loves her, well except for one of the Sweet Butts.

I found Bink’s story to be powerful and real. The daily accounts of her day, the people she works with, the club, and her dog are all documented in detail.

During this read, all I could think about is that she is a girl I could chill with. Bink is awesome; seriously, who won’t want to be her friend.

The story has some dilemmas that aren’t fixed in one setting and I like that. This book is real and detailed and hell-a sexy. The interludes or foreplay leading to the interludes gets you there, in mini book orgasm-land. Fanning myself.

This is only Vol I. I need Vol II. I have a ton of questions that I cannot talk about here because it will give the book away.

If you like MC books, Alpha’s, a guy who can eat the hell out of some P*$$y and orgasm on a bike, well this is the book for you.

Cash is a badass biker. Rachel is as sweet as southern sweet tea. Together they are the odd couple but the Jamie writes their yin and yang very well.

This is the fifth (5) book in The Last Riders series and Jamie provides readers with enough background history to ensure that you can follow Cash’s and Rachel’s story.

The story opens with Cash trying to get some pussy but he is cock blocked by the Porter brothers. Which is really funny. Cash decides he will ruffle some Porter Brother feathers by spending time with Rachel, their sister.

Cash is a member of The Last Riders motorcycle club. Prior to joining the MC, he has been a loner. The more I read about him, I realize that he has no emotional connection with anyone outside of the MC.

This changes when Cash sees Rachel again since he has returned.

Rachel is a novice and wholesome. She is patient and kind. She tolerates her brother’s and their foolish but loves them so much.

Rachel has loved Cash since she was young. When Cash starts to pay attention to Rachel. The feelings that she begins to have deviously wet feelings for him (wagging my eyebrows) and this is unfamiliar to her. She is not use to that kind of attention from man. The love that Rachel has for family, passion and community is the same that wants to convey to Cash. Will Cash be receptive to her love, is he worthy of her? Can he be emotionally available to her?

I love MC’s and this book was something new for me. The theme of book was not at all what I thought but how the author integrated this into the story line was fantastic.

My review has to be limited because; just the littlest of information will give this great story away. I can say the sex is good in the book. It is just enough to keep you wiggling in your seat.

This is the first book I read in the series but I was not lost at all. That is a great author. She gave me enough back-story of the previous books, to feel comfortable with the flow of Cash’s book.

REVIEW

This book was definitely a new MC book for me. It was gentle, climatic, and developed. I will explain all of these later in the review.

Let’s start with Kadence. She is so strong for being so damaged. But I feel as though this is the theme in the book. They are all strong and damaged. Kadence has some relationship concerns in this book. She is not very trusting and I believe has given up on love. Until one day she meets Nix. This is unexpected, her feelings and the attraction she has for this man. He is an Alpha and exudes this with his walk, talk and looks.

Kadence does not know what to do with this sudden rush of interest she has for Nix. She hides her interest.

Nix is the president of the MC in town. He knows what he wants and he goes after it. He wants Kadence. Nix is strong and damaged, like Kadence but in a different way.

You will see how in this book. Their past haunts them and presents itself at various points in the book. Which leads to some very climatic scenes.

Speaking of climax, there is a lot in this book and Nix filthy mouth is oh so good. He is so delectable I was melting at his words.

Like when Nix ask Kadence for her name and she refuses to tell him. His response is,

“That’s okay, I don’t need to know your name, just need to know how hard you like it.”(Nix)

His words go straight to my stomach; the sensation awakening a part of me that I thought was lost. (Kadence).

This book is full of lines that make you want to read the line again twice, just to feel that feeling again.

Nix is not like the other MC pres, I have read about. Yes, he is hard, dominate and can be a royal ass. But he is a dedicated father who is very active. This is not always present in most MC books. The fathers are sometimes downright neglectful. Just leaving their children to raise themselves. In this book, I love Nix and his fatherly ways.

When Nix wants something, he will get it. And if he doesn’t, like I said before he is an ass.

Kadence said it best,

“The man is crass, but for the life of me, I can’t seem to hate him for it.”

I really enjoyed this book. It was hot in all the write places and sweet when needed.

Resting the cold beer between my legs to soothe the ache, the boys give me shit for striking out. I feel the same way: the woman is a tough nut to crack.

“You ready for round two, Prez?” Beau smirks behind his beer. Turning my head, I watch as Kadence storms over. I groan as my broken dick comes to life, apparently not caught up with the news that she doesn’t like him. She stands at the end of the table, arms crossed over her chest, unaware that her position puts her sexy tits up on display.

“Hey, sweetheart,” I say before taking a sip of my beer.

“Oh, the stiff?” I ask nonchalantly. “Just told him to run along; he didn't have what it takes to play with the big boys,” I say as some of the brothers laugh into their drinks.

I’ve never pushed a woman this far before; chasing her and teasing her feels so damn good. Something about her pushes my buttons and leaves me wanting more. Most women fall at my feet begging to get in, but Kadence? No, this woman makes me want to do the begging. I’ve never wanted to fuck a woman so hard while spanking her ass at the same time. The way she reacts to me makes my dick hard and God help me, getting her riled up is a sight to see. I can see it in her eyes; she’s fighting it. She wants me and I intend to give the lady what she wants.

“What do you want, Phoenix?” she demands, uncrossing her arms and assuming a relaxed position, but I’m not stupid. The woman is crazy mad and I’ve got a throbbing dick to prove it.

“What do I want?” I repeat her question, pausing to take another pull on my beer. “Well, after your little stunt in the bathroom, I wanna pull you down on this table and spank your ass,” I tell her calmly. Even though my balls are aching, my cock is pulsing.

“You disgust me,” she hisses and turns to walk away. I grab onto her hand, turning her my way. She tries to pull out of my grasp, but my hold on her is strong.
