Brief review: Huge Nikki Sloan fan. I have read all of her Blindfold Club books. They are phenomenal. Let’s get started on this wonderful tale. Nikki wrote a story that touched my heart. I am Regan. 100%, that is me. Nikki hijacked my heart and mind with this story. She wrote about this incredibly alpha women and her learning to be dominate in a male dominated world. Now Regan is dominate and the man candy that catches her eye wants to lead. Can two lead? Domme and a Dom? What an interesting storyline.

I love smutty reads (Erotica) and Nikki secures that all day long but there is something more than sex that is presented in her writing that keeps satisfied.

So, I love the characters and that my old loves are back [How I miss Logan, Dominick and Joseph]. Nikki writes such memorable characters that are loveable and truly unforgettable. I will never forget their first BOOM, BOOM action and ROOM 3. SO HOT!

Let me express how much I don’t like series that have a recycled topic. Each book that Nikki writes is new to my heart and mind. Her writing fulfills a need that I seek when I read smut (erotic) books and it is ooh so good.

Regan reminds to me of a cross between Joseph and Payton. She took the wittiness and sexiest part of them and built Regan. I love how she is just a little weak, that reminds me of Noemi (a tad) but only in a submissive way.

Nikki totally makes reading fun. I read books because I like the escape. I was on Fantasy Island in this book and I did not want Tattoo to call for the plane. I was all about this book and it’s twist and turns, the suspense and the smoldering red-hot BAM-BAM on all the pages.

Would I read it again: Yes. This book and all the books in the series are books that are on my “rainy day” list. When I am in a book funk, this series of books are my go to reads. Perfect and never tire of them.

If you have not read this series, start on it now. It is awesome. This book can be read as a standalone and it does involve a HEA and a lot of dominating personalities, which is unique, hilarious and makes me proud to be a feminist.

Nikki did it again and so quickly. As people began to get over their heavy breathing and repeated flashback of how hot book one of this series is she gives us book two and it is a glorious. It begins were book one ended and tells us the story of our favorite call girl/bestie/ménage coordinator, Payton. We loved her in book one and cherish her in book two.

The flow of the book was so smooth and there is never a dull moment and even Payton is always doing something in this book. It just so happens that Payton and Logan’s best friend and the guy house he is squatting in Dominic, have a night to remember to the point that Payton breaks some of her rules and loses her mega bucks job. You know that I will not give away what is happening in the book but I will say that this book is all about location, location, location.

I love supporting characters in books. I think they are the driving force of a great story. Without them the characters can seem blah. They really bring the shine of this story. This story was no different.
I loved, loved, loved Dominic he is so sweet, shy and unknowing of his hotness. He is willing to do anything for Payton. His role is real, just like our previous lead in book one and Dom, Logan. What I mean by real is that I feel like his situations are could happen to a friend of mine and that his is an average Joe. I like that he does not play around with his feelings/ wants for Payton and express his need for Payton. He is lonely and she is definitely not dull so their partnership is hot from the start.

It won’t be a story, I love, without the drama and the angst. It won’t be one of the best erotica story without the smut, 2nd best sex scene this read year for me. Number one is book one, of course. And it won’t be romance if there was not a happy ending, and I will tell you there is and drum roll…… no cliffhanger! Yes!

But what makes it the BEST and one of the reasons why Nikki is on my short one-click list (meaning I do not even need to read the synopsis I will always click her. She could write about blue humpback whales and I am buying, but I digress) is because what she writes is also FUNNY. I was laughing so much. The humor is classic and needed now in most stories.

This is a best buy (because the book is on sale as of 4/9/15) and one of my go to books when I am in a runt.

So Emma’s mother got married and in the mix of this Emma meet this hot guy working on her new stepfather’s farm. And as she walks into her home for the summer, she caught sizing Ford up. He is yummy and in Emma’s mind she found herself some great eye candy for the summer. Sad for her that this man candy is her new stepbrother, who happens to also like to be extremely dominant in the bedroom.

Overall the idea of the book is good. The topic is popular. The difference with the book then any other taboo reads, that I have read, is that there is  not much resistance in their coupling.  Ford is very forward about what he wants and he lays it on her and really rides her (that statement is all about the sex he gives her).

Emma and Ford are a cute couple. This book is sex to the nines, and well, I like erotica so, it was good for me. I found that Emma and Ford tended to have actual conversations with the supporting characters and not so much with each other.  There was dirty talk, heavy breathing and intelligible speech.

There is no cliffhanger, this is an insta-romance and this book will have another book that will follow the same taboo topic but with new characters.

No matter the review, I hope that you take the opportunity to read a book. Any book, maybe even this book.

I am so happy that Lainey wrote something new that I can read and was not takne off the electronic book shelf of Amazon for me not to read until, who knows when.

So when I was asked to read this book….Well, I may have begged, but I digress.

When I got this story I was bummed because it is a novella and I wanted hours and possibly one day of Lainey smut, because it is oohh so good.

The story is about a chick (Nadia) and she needs a bodyguard because of a crazy ass stalker. Well Lainey gave her not one but two. And they are….wait for it…Alpha, Doms. Sweet Jesus in a hand basket, that setup is super hot.

There are some really smoking hot scenes in this book and Nadia is an erotic author. Who better to throw out sexual positions, well not her she is a bit of a one dick kind of chick. But these boys open her up, pun accepted.

Overall I like the ménage idea. I like the storyline. It is a definitely too short of a book for me. I have all of Lainey’s books, well except that last book that it being republished through a publishing company, and I think her writing style and storyline makes accepting the characters act of passion like getting coffee at Starbucks, easy.
