Fight For Me-Bethany Bazile

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Synopsis:

I just needed someone to show me how to fight for me…

When tragedy hits Alexis Cole is shattered. She carries the blame on her shoulders after losing a big piece of herself. When Ryder Hayes sweeps back into her life, she has something to hold on to but just as quickly as he appeared he was gone. When fate-or meddling parents-throw them back together they can no longer deny the heat that’s burned between them for years.

Ryder has always wanted Lexi, but he’s never fought so hard against something in his life. Saving Lexi from her past was never on his agenda, but he could never bear letting her drown in it. With his UFC championship title on the line, the last thing he needs is to be distracted by Lexi. When she’s thrown back into his life he can no longer fight their attraction.
But once he claims her he knows he’ll never let go.

Recently I received this ARC book from AToMR tours and the author for an honest review.

I read this book in two days. I found myself being drawn to the UFC and romantic  thriller. When I was thinking about how to write this review I heard a song that made me think and reflect on this book. There is a new song out by Alicia Keys and Kendrick Lamar called It’s On Again. You should listen to the song while reading this review.

Lexi is emotionally wrecked due to tragedy and is dealing with grief. Everyone is worried about her. Nothing is bring the light, she once had, back in her eyes. Until she sees Ryder. He is the one she has always loved and wanted to be with but could never reach. In her mind, he had no interest in her and with a past incident that was no fault of Lexi or Ryder, Ryder removed himself from her life.

When Ryder is back in the picture he realizes that he wants Lexi and will do anything to claim her.

Lexi likes that she can breathe again around Ryder, but love stories are never that easy are they, well not the ones I read.

Ryder is an enigma and a glorious warrior. He is so dominate and passionate. When he wants something he fights for it, and he encourages Lexi to fight for her old self.

Ryder and Lexi are similar to a harmony. They have a slow tempo in the beginning, similar to It’s On Again, but once they (the song) gets going, well it becomes inspirational, aggressive, and the collaboration is definitely meant to be.

Hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.

Happy reading.
